Are You Interviewing
at Your Best?
You Had Better Be!

Every experienced job seeker knows the trepidation that accompanies the interview process. It can be tenuous for even the most confident, well-qualified and experienced candidate, especially when faced with difficult or inappropriate questions.

The usual, hackneyed questions and practiced answers are easy and, in the end, don't really do much to move the process forward. Those surprise or Gotcha! questions, however, can make or break it for you. Sometimes the interview can feel more like an interrogation than a friendly "meet and greet." You can be sure that if there is uncomfortable territory like a short job history or an unfavorable former colleague, then it is going to come up. Worse than this, interviewers sometimes tread into illegal areas about religion, age, sexual preference and even if you have a plan to start a family.

We've seen and heard it all, so we offer a few techniques for taking charge of an interview to present your best self.

Must Attend Webinar:
The Real Reasons You Aren't Getting the Job You Want!

Was it your choice of attire? Was it the stinkeye you were getting from the founder sitting in the corner? Was it that answer you bobbled from that unexpected question? And, why won't anyone ever tell you?

Join NPAG's Director of Candidate Services Erin O'Connor Jones and Managing Associate Allison Kupfer on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Noon (EST) for our quarterly job seeker webinar, "The REAL Reason You Haven't Landed Your Dream Job".

If you have ever wondered why you can't get a first interview or don't get invited back, this webinar is for you! Erin and Allison will discuss the most common mistakes made by job seekers including strategies that will enhance your job search. They've combined their knowledge and experience from the nonprofit sector, a nonprofit search firm and direct work with candidates and will share this information with webinar participants.
