Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE) is the leading nongovernmental agency committed to finding a cure for epilepsy through the funding of long-range, cutting edge research.

We’re pleased to share that Beth Lewin Dean has been named CEO.  Beth brings over 17 years of experience in the field of epilepsy, which has been driven by her strong commitment to the needs, aspirations and hopes of patients and their loved ones. She is most recently known for her role at Aquestive Therapeutics, where Beth served as Vice President and General Manager, CNS Products. Beth also served as a Consultant with the Blue Fin Group and Vice President, Early Commercialization, New Product & Life Cycle Management with Lundbeck (Formerly Ovation Pharmaceuticals).  

Beth has also served as Board Member and Chair at the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance and has served as both Advisor and Vice President of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association – Chicago Chapter. Her spirit of volunteerism and her dedication to patients is illustrated by her many years of partnering with the epilepsy nonprofit sector. Beth received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Environmental Science from Cornell College; a Master of Public Affairs in Environmental Management from Indiana University; and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago.
