Associate Vice President
Carolyn’s approach to executive search is grounded in her experience as an Executive Director and her passion for the nonprofit sector’s role in catalyzing change and addressing society’s most pressing issues. She joined NPAG in 2007 and her search portfolio has spanned the philanthropic, direct service, policy/advocacy, and education sectors with a particular emphasis on global organizations.
Prior to joining NPAG, Carolyn served as the Interim Executive Director of the Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS), a community-based nonprofit organization that fosters international friendship and global understanding located at the University of Washington in Seattle. She brings ten years of experience in nonprofit and academic settings as well as extensive board service. A passionate advocate for diversity, life-long learning, and cross-cultural experiences, Carolyn has lived on five continents and speaks conversational Spanish and basic Russian.
Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Education in Student Development Administration from Seattle University. She is based in Washington, DC.
